Here's a shot of a little project I was working on especially for the trip. Since I won't be able to run the Peachtree Road Race this year as usual, I was happy to find another 10K in London on the 4th! So, in the end, I'll be running it in spirit. Just to have a little fun, I thought it'd be cool to have a special race day shirt with an American flag in honor of Independence Day! Gotta represent in L-town!

I think it's starting to hit me that I will actually be in London in a week!! I'm organizing essentials and trying to figure out what I can realistically bring with me. I think I will have to cut it down a bit, but I am definitely bringing plenty of contact solution. This brand happens to cost like $25 over there (it's only $6 or so here!) I guess the advantage of starting to pack early is that I have the opportunity to rethink things if necessary!

I've always tried to keep paper and pencil journals of my travels. I'm good at keeping all the little bits of paper, tickets and favorite cafe receipts, but I come home and lose the motivation (or run out of time once I get back to reality) to put them all together. So I figured, why not do a little travel blog of my two months in England? This is also much more immediate for all my friends and family who might enjoy following me around while I'm gone.

My goals for this space are simple: upload photos of interest several times a week (I am not foolish enough to commit to daily uploads!), keep track of fun experiences and reflections and hopefully to keep a record of my trip as I go along.
